Tines are Laser Sharpened, Forged, and Hardened. The tines will not bend or break and are guaranteed for a lifetime of use. These round and large tines, as opposed to thin blades, provide greater aeration and less damage to root crops
Step bar is wide and comfortable.
It is Handmade in TN with local ash wood handles.
Tines from bottom of bar are 10.75”, 2.3” on center. The garden fork is 14” wide and 14 lbs

Root Fork
The additional tines on the root fork can be utilized for improved soil aeration or for harvesting carrots and parsnips.
Hand Forged
The Perfect Tines
Flat blade tines may be inexpensive to produce, but they are not suitable for Broad Forks.
In contrast, all of our forks have large, round tines that are hand-forged, hardened, and then precision laser sharpened.
This produces the perfect round tine which works in any conditions, aerate soil wonderfully, and will never bend.
Protection
Is the Steel Coated?
Yes. The Billy GOAT has been coated with Natural Linseed oil to keep it looking great.
It is not powdercoated for a few reasons.
- We are trying to reduce plastics.
- Powdercoat is plastic dust melted onto the steel
- Powdercoat will come off easily from the tines during use making it counter productive
We advise that you continue to oil and keeping the tool dry and clean when not in use.
