Choosing Vertigo plates

The Vertigo Drop Seeder uses a frame and interchangeable plates to seed trays. Choose the bottom plate for the tray’s cell layout and the top plate for seed size. The best top-plate selection depends on both plate thickness and seed-hole diameter.

Do I need both a top and bottom plate?

Yes. Select a bottom plate to match the tray layout and a top plate to match the seed. The frame works with the matching plate system.

How do I choose a top plate?

Use the seed-size and plate-selection chart on the Vertigo product page. Different crops and seed lots can call for different plates.

Will it work with my trays?

Confirm the tray fits the Vertigo seeding footprint and that a matching bottom plate exists for its layout. Do not assume all trays use the same bottom plate.
