Roots obviously grow downward. Every nursery tray has only a round drainage hole at the bottom of the cell. Roots hit the bottom of the tray and circle around and around that hole.

I have bought these before and needed more. I love them! I have the big trays of them as well. They never wear out and they are like soil blocking without the fuss. I do cuttings in them and I do my seeding in them. Simply the best!

The mini wins are excellent for starting small qtys of seeds at a time. Don’t waste time buying the cheap plastic “6-cell” junk from your local nursery, Amazon or your local big box store. Come straight to Neversink and order these. I can’t wait to burn through the old 6 cell trays I have now and exclusively use Neversink trays! They will fit okay in a 1020 tray (greenhouse megastore) but they fit WAY better in the Neversink trays. So, buy some of those too!
