Healthy Seedlings

Roots obviously grow downward. Every nursery tray has only a round drainage hole at the bottom of the cell. Roots hit the bottom of the tray and circle around and around that hole.

The Winstrip Trays' unique bottom design combined with AIRSTRIP technology stops roots from circling even if the plant is overgrown. It is all about that Winstrip shape at the bottom of the cell. It holds in soil and air prunes.

Well researched equipment

Taking seedlings out of plastic containers is always a big and time-consuming chore for me especially with a lot of them. I have not used it yet, but looking at the design of just punching a whole tray out will be a huge time saver for me. One bonus that I did not realize when I bought it is that it "air prunes" - it has air gaps that prevent seedlings for getting root bound - superb! It's a well-thought out durable design that makes seed starting efficient and prevents typical problems. Thank you!

Useful Little Thang

The mini wini is a practical, handy tool. I first tried the one for 72-cell trays and found it to save time in the field instead of using hands or investing in an expensive full tray version. The 128 is very useful as my fingers do not even fit into the bottom of an winstrip tray. I recommend these mini wini's.

Sturdiest air-pruning trays on the market!

As a small-scale cut flower grower, the Mini Wini trays are an essential tool on our farm! They combine the best aspects of the micro-20 soil blocks and traditional plug trays, and are incredibly sturdy and high quality. I especially appreciate the modularity of the Mini Winis compared to the full 128 trays: rarely do I need 128 plants of a single variety, and germination differences between cultivars/species necessitate earlier or later removal from the heat mat/humidity dome. They are an investment worth making!
