Stirrup hoes, sometimes called hula or scuffle hoes, are a favorite for getting out more mature and stubborn weeds from your farm and garden. Stirrup hoes come complete with one blade. No replacement blades included.
To achieve your desired degree of curve, the blade can be installed either on the inside or outside of the frame.

Needs a wooden handle that can be purchased from us or you can try to locate one locally.
This tool seems very sturdy. I have only used it once. I did early spring weeding on four small beds (40 sf each). The task would usually have left me sore and having to stop part way through with a regular hoe but the motion and design of the stirrup hoe made it much easier on me. I ordered the handle in addition to the hoe. It came without a finish and I picked up a bottle of BLO to remedy that. The handle took the oil well.
